Feel like I haven’t blogged in so long! It’s for a very happy reason though, this past Saturday, December 20th, I married the love of my life. Our wedding day was beyond perfect, more perfect than I could have possibly imagined. I feel like the luckiest girl alive to have married this man!
I wanted to do a quick post tonight about healthy eating on vacation. This is the third time that Robbie and I have been in Florida this year, and we have eaten better this trip than any other. We’re starting to get the hang of it! It can be hard to eat healthy when you’re away from your normal routine. Thankfully, we’ve started to figure out our staples and where we can find them. It can be even harder when you’re in states that don’t have your normal stores. I do most of my shopping at Kroger, and there are none of them in Florida.
For our honeymoon, my husband and I stayed in a condo on the beach in St. Augustine. We decided to take advantage of the full kitchen and do some cooking. We swung by a Publix and got stuff so that we would be able to make breakfast the next morning. We had Ezekiel Toast with organic cream cheese, topped with an organic egg, a slice of Gouda cheese, and sliced tomatoes. It tasted AMAZING! We also made Gouda Ezekiel cream cheese sandwiches. We were so glad that we got stuff to cook with. We also got some frozen blueberries (my favorite), chocolate almond milk, and some cold pressed Suja juice (SO good!) For another meal, we got Mellow Mushroom, and even tried out a local vegan restaurant. It is totally worth it to eat healthy and just do little splurges so your body feels good no matter where you are!
