Ridiculously simple but delicious spicy avocado egg toast – one of my favorite breakfast staples!
This spicy avocado egg toast is one of my favorite filling breakfasts.
Between the bread, the protein from the egg, and the fat from the avocado, it is super filling.
The recipe is so simple that I’ve never thought to post it here on the blog, but sometimes the most simple recipes are the ones that end up being my favorite!

First up, start cooking your eggs the way you like them (be sure to salt + pepper).
Robbie likes his a little runny, or as he calls it a “dippin’ egg.” For me I like mine cooked all the way through.
While your eggs are cooking, cut an avocado in half and mash it in a bowl with a fork.
Sprinkle on some salt + pepper and stir.
Toast a piece of your favorite bread (Dave’s Killer Bread = my current obsession) and top with half of the mashed avocado mixture.
Add your egg on top, and finish it off with your favorite hot sauce.
If this sounds like a weird combo, just trust me.
It’s seriously life changing.
My favorite hot sauce is Kroger’s simple truth jalapeno flavor, it is just the right amount of spicy!
So there you have it, easy peasy healthy breakfast for two (or one if you’re hungry!)

- 2 eggs
- 2 pieces of toast
- hot sauce
- 1 avocado
- salt and pepper
- Cook your eggs to your desired preference
- While eggs are cooking, mash the avocado in a bowl and salt and pepper lightly
- Toast 2 pieces of bread
- Top each toast with 1/2 of the avocado mash, egg, and hot sauce
To make gluten free, use your favorite gluten free bread
