- 1 cup ripe mashed banana around 3 medium sized bananas
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ⅔ cup semi sweet chocolate chips plus more for topping
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Grease a 9x5 loaf pan with cooking spray
Add the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas to a large bowl
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon
Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until just combined. Do not over mix
Fold in the chocolate chips
Pour the banana bread batter into the greased 9x5 loaf pan, sprinkle with additional chocolate chips, and bake for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Rest for 10 minutes in the pan, then remove onto a wire cooling rack
