Banana Bread Recipe with Chocolate Chips

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ripe mashed banana around 3 medium sized bananas
  • cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • cup semi sweet chocolate chips plus more for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  • Grease a 9x5 loaf pan with cooking spray
  • Add the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas to a large bowl
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until just combined. Do not over mix
  • Fold in the chocolate chips
  • Pour the banana bread batter into the greased 9x5 loaf pan, sprinkle with additional chocolate chips, and bake for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
  • Rest for 10 minutes in the pan, then remove onto a wire cooling rack
