Bow Tie Pasta

This creamy bow tie pasta is the best easy weeknight dinner. Pair it with protein and a veggie on the side for a delicious meal!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz bow tie pasta
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bow tie pasta to al dente according to the package instructions
  • While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium heat
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring often, until fragrant
  • Add the flour and whisk constantly for 1 minute
  • Add the vegetable broth and heavy cream. Stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, until it begins to thicken
  • Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted
  • Add the cooked bow tie pasta to the cream sauce and stir until the pasta is coated and the sauce finishes thickening (3-5 min)
  • Salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately
