Bow Tie Pasta

- 8 oz bow tie pasta
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- ½ cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bow tie pasta to al dente according to the package instructions
While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium heat
Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring often, until fragrant
Add the flour and whisk constantly for 1 minute
Add the vegetable broth and heavy cream. Stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, until it begins to thicken
Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted
Add the cooked bow tie pasta to the cream sauce and stir until the pasta is coated and the sauce finishes thickening (3-5 min)
Salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately
