Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Ingredients

For the Dessert Cheese Ball Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon crushed graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

For rolling the cheese ball

  • 1/3 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Beat the softened cream cheese, butter, and vanilla together in a mixing bowl until fluffy.
  • Add the powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs and beat to combine.
  • Fold in 1/2 cup of the mini chocolate chips.
  • Cover the and chill the batter for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  • Once chilled, use a rubber spatula and your hands to form the batter into a ball shape (it may help to use cooking spray to grease your hands).
  • Add 1/3 cup of mini chocolate chips and 1/3 cup of finely diced pecans to a bowl and roll the cheese ball to coat all sides.
  • Store the dessert cheese ball covered in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • Serve the chocolate chip cheese ball with nilla wafers, graham crackers, or other cookies of choice.
