Chocolate Peppermint Bark

This homemade chocolate peppermint bark is a delicious holiday treat that is so simple to make!

Ingredients

  • 10 oz dark chocolate chips
  • 11 oz white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 6 candy canes crushed

Instructions

  • Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper (around 9 by 13 or smaller).
  • Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments, until smooth. Stir in the peppermint extract until smooth.
  • Pour the dark chocolate onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet and smooth it out flat. Place the pan in the fridge to harden for 30 minutes.
  • Place the candy canes in a bag and use a rolling pin to crush them into small pieces.
  • Once the chocolate is almost done chilling, melt the white chocolate chips until smooth. Spread the white chocolate over the layer of hardened dark chocolate.
  • Sprinkle on the crushed candy canes. Chill the peppermint bark until set (30 mins - 1 hour), then break or cut into pieces.
