This carrot orange smoothie is naturally sweet and tropical with a nice little zing from fresh ginger and just a pinch of cinnamon.

It’s a nutrient packed smoothie that is great for helping to fight off a cold or all of the other junk going around.

Ingredients to make a carrot smoothie

  • orange
  • whole carrots, raw
  • frozen pineapple chunks
  • fresh ginger, peeled
  • cinnamon
  • ice 
  • water

How to make a carrot orange smoothie

Step 1: Peel the orange. Peel the carrots and cut them into chunks. Peel and dice up the the fresh ginger.

Step 2: Add the orange, carrots, ginger, frozen pineapple chunks, cinnamon, and water to a high speed blender. Blend on high until smooth.

Step 3: Add the ice and blend again until thickened. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Yes, you can!

You will need a high powered machine that can smoothly blend ingredients like fresh oranges, carrot, and raw ginger.

Ingredients

  • 1 large orange, peeled
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 teaspoon peeled and chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups ice
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Add orange, carrots, frozen pineapple chunks, ginger, cinnamon, and water to a high speed blender and blend until smooth
  2. Add ice and blend again until thick
  3. Serve immediately

Notes

You will need a high speed blender (such as a vitamix or blendtec) for this recipe, as it can break down the raw carrot and ginger until smooth.
