This delicious fresh orange smoothie is a go to recipe for cold and flu season.

It’s packed with vitamin C, super fresh, and tastes amazing!

Oranges are in season during the winter, and are at their juiciest sweetest prime.

I buy a bag almost every week at the grocery store.

I love blending them up in smoothies like this one or my Carrot Orange Smoothie for keeping my vitamin c intake high.

Smoothies are a great way to pack in tons of nutrients that you would not normally sit down and eat in one sitting.

If you haven’t tried fresh oranges in smoothies, it’s a must!

They are so sweet and fresh and taste amazingly creamy blended with almond milk and yogurt.

I love that one serving of this smoothie has two whole oranges in it!

Ingredients to make an orange smoothie

  • oranges – this recipe serves two, so if you are making it for just yourself you can use only two oranges.
  • banana – I used a fresh banana here, but a frozen one would add a nice thick creamy texture!
  • almond milk – you can use any kind of milk you want here.
  • greek yogurt  – The plain unsweetened kind
  • ice

Can you put oranges in a blender?

Yes, you can put whole oranges in a blender.

All you need to do is peel them first. You can slice them into pieces for a smaller blender.

Simply peel your oranges and banana, add to a blender with the almond milk, greek yogurt and ice, and blend until smooth.

This smoothie is sweet from the natural sweetness of the oranges and banana, but if you want a little extra something you can add in a drizzle of honey.

The result is a refreshing creamy orange shake.

Add this banana orange smoothie to your morning routine to keep your family staying well this winter!
