This strawberry banana yogurt smoothie is simple, tasty, tangy, and just sweet enough thanks to the natural sweetness from strawberries and bananas. 

It’s made with just four easy ingredients, and tastes so refreshing!

Ingredients to make a strawberry banana yogurt smoothie

Frozen Banana Chunks – a staple always for delicious smoothies.

They make smoothies nice and thick and creamy, I like to compare it to ice cream texture!

Frozen Strawberries – easy and convenient, and the natural sweetener in this recipe.

Plain Unsweetened Greek Yogurt – a staple that I keep on hand for baking and smoothie making.

Adds tanginess and protein without the added sugar and junk. 

Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk – subtle flavor and great for a nondairy milk.

Any milk you have on hand will work though!

What type of yogurt is best for smoothies?

I prefer to buy plain unsweetened greek yogurt as it is versatile and adds great flavor and protein without the added sugar. 

This smoothie is slightly sweet, so if you want a sweeter smoothie, you could always use a sweetened greek yogurt, or simply add in some honey to taste. 

Should I put yogurt in my smoothie?

Strawberry Banana Yogurt Smoothie

Sweet and tangy strawberry banana yogurt smoothie

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup frozen banana chunks
  • 1 ½ cups frozen strawberries
  • cup plain unsweetened 0% greek yogurt
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Instructions 

  • Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth

Notes

This smoothie is tangy and mildly sweet thanks to the natural fruit smoothie. If you want a sweeter drink, you can add a teaspoon of honey or so to taste (or use sweetened greek yogurt instead)
