Immunity Shots
on Jun 13, 2024
These easy citrus immunity shots are full of bright flavor and our go to juice for the cold winter months. Make them yourself at home with just 3 ingredients!
When I’m feeling like I need an extra boost, I add these immunity shots to my juicing routine. They are citrusy, sweet, and pack a major spicy zing from the ginger that will wake me right up!
Each one is loaded with vitamin c and immune boosting properties and they’re easy to prep for the whole family.
I keep 4 oz juicing jars on hand specifically for this recipe. My husband and I will drink several of these a week, especially in the cold winter months.
What you need to make these
- oranges: peeled and quartered
- lemon: peeled and quartered
- ginger: peeled
How to make immunity shots
Step 1: Prepare all of your ingredients. Cut the peel off of the lemon and oranges and cut them into quarters. Peel the fresh ginger.
Step 2: Run all of the ingredients through a juicer. Drink the juice immediately, or store it for later.
Tip
Prepping immunity shots for the whole family? Make several batches all at once and keep them in the fridge for up to 48 hours!
Each immunity shot is around 4 oz. These are much more affordable to make yourself at home instead of paying high prices at the grocery store. It tastes a lot better too!
When to drink ginger citrus shots
You can drink these anytime of day! I prefer to have mine after my breakfast to wake me up in the morning, or in the mid afternoon for a pick me up.
How to store
Immunity shots can be stored in a glass or jar with an airtight lid for up to 48 hours in the refrigerator. Fill it to the brim before putting the lid on for best freshness. A 4 oz jar will work best for a single shot.
When you are ready to drink the juice, shake the jar well before opening as the juice will separate naturally.
