How to make oreo spiders for Halloween

Step 1: break pretzel rods in half and stuff into the oreo cookies to form the spider legs.

Step 2: melt the chocolate until smooth. You need just a little bit of chocolate for this recipe. Depending on how many spiders you make you may only need a few tablespoons of chocolate chips. Just enough to dab on where the eyes will go to help them stick.

Step 3: Use a toothpick or whatever you have on hand to place the melted chocolate onto the oreos where the eyes will go.

Step 4: Immediately place the googly eye candies onto the melted chocolate. Place the oreos in the fridge until the chocolate hardens.

These are just too much fun and my kids loved them. We will be making these spider cookies for Halloween again this year!

With the leftover chocolate I dipped some extra pretzel rods into melted chocolate and placed it in the fridge to harden. I called these “spider legs” and the kids thought that was so funny.
