Everyone needs a good party dip recipe and this cream cheese bean dip is perfect for any occasion! I have made it for parties, Christmas, birthdays, tailgating, and more.

It is made with simple pantry ingredients and comes together in less than 10 minutes!

We also love making this dip for Mexican night at home to serve along with tacos, burritos, nachos etc. It’s a quicker alternative to our crock pot bean dip and bakes in no time!

Ingredients to make mexican bean dip

  • Refried beans: the base of our dip.
  • Cream cheese: this makes the dip creamy and adds a great texture.
  • Sour cream: you can substitute this for plain Greek yogurt if you want.
  • Taco seasoning
  • Monterey jack cheese: freshly grated is best.

How to make Cream Cheese Bean Dip

Step 1: Beat the softened cream cheese together with the refried beans.

Step 2: Mix in the sour cream and taco seasoning until smooth.

Recipe Note

While you can make your own taco seasoning for this recipe, I love the simplicity of using an already done for you taco seasoning packets you can buy at the store.

Step 3: Place the refried bean dip mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth it out evenly.

Step 4: Top with the shredded Monterey jack cheese and bake the cream cheese bean dip at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges are browned and bubbly.

Serve hot with tortilla chips for a delicious Mexican flavored bean dip!

Cream Cheese Bean Dip

Cream Cheese Bean Dip is a great party appetizer or addition to Mexican night.

Ingredients 

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 32 oz canned refried beans
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • 1 packet, 1 oz taco seasoning
  • 8 oz monterey jack cheese, freshly grated

Instructions 

  • Beat the softened cream cheese together with the refried beans. Mix in the sour cream and taco seasoning until smooth. 
  • Place the bean dip mixture into a greased baking dish and top with the freshly grated monterey jack cheese.
  • Bake the cream cheese bean dip at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges are browned.
  • Serve hot with tortilla chips for dipping.
