This easy Pimento Cheese Dip is one of the best appetizers! Serve with crackers and veggies for a no fuss recipe that everyone will love.

Pimento cheese dip is one of those appetizers that almost seems too easy, but is so delicious that you can’t stop eating it.
This recipe is perfect for any occasion! Holidays, potlucks, birthday parties, football season, you name it. It comes together in under 10 minutes of actual prep time!
Pimento cheese is a southern classic that is often served on sandwiches or as a dip.
This recipe uses a little more mayo for a smoother dip and spread, making it perfect for serving alongside any kind of cracker or fresh cut veggie.

Pimento Cheese Dip Ingredients
- Cream cheese: the rich and creamy base of the dip.
- Cheddar cheese: freshly grated is a must! I prefer sharp cheddar when making pimento cheese dip, but any cheddar will work.
- Diced pimento peppers: these mild and sweet peppers are the star of our dip.
- Mayonnaise: mayo is key for getting the traditional flavor of pimento cheese.
- Spices: salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.

Where to buy pimentos
You can buy pimento peppers, also called pimiento peppers, in most major grocery stores. They are often located near the condiment isle and come in a jar.
You can buy the peppers sliced or diced. I usually look for the already diced up ones to save myself time. Then all you need to do is drain the liquid off before adding them to your pimento cheese.

How to make pimento cheese dip
Step 1: Start by beating your softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl until fluffy.

Step 2: Add the grated sharp cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, pimento peppers, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.

Beat the ingredients together again until they are thoroughly combined.

Step 3: Cover and chill the dip in the fridge for at least 1-2 hours before serving. This allows the flavors to really marinate and combine.

What to serve with pimento cheese dip
- Crackers: ritz crackers, club crackers, multi-grain crackers

- Carrot sticks
- Sliced bell peppers
- Sliced cucumbers

Storing
Store leftover pimento cheese dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
If you are serving this for a party, allow the dip to sit out at room temperature for no more than 2 hours.

This dip looks beautiful on a serving platter surrounded with colorful veggies for dipping.
It’s one of those dishes that feels fancy to make but really is so simple. You have to try it!
