These sesame garlic ramen noodles are made in just 10 minutes and so quick and easy that you can eat them for a last minute lunch or as a side dish with your takeout inspired dinner.

They have quickly become one of our favorite ramen noodle recipes! Stir fry recipes are a big hit in our house and we make them regularly.

I love the versatility of these noodles once you chuck that spice packet! There are so many ways to make boring ramen noodles taste restaurant quality in your own kitchen.

Ingredients to make sesame garlic ramen

  • ramen noodles: flavor packets discarded
  • minced garlic
  • sesame oil
  • brown sugar
  • soy sauce
  • green onions and sesame seeds: to garnish

How to make sesame garlic ramen noodles

Step 1: Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, and discard the spice packet that comes with it.

Step 2: While the ramen noodles are cooking, mince up the fresh garlic. Once the ramen has finished boiling, drain it and set aside.

Step 3: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil.

Add the minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn.

Step 4: Add in the brown sugar and soy sauce and whisk or stir until combined.

Step 5: Toss the cooked ramen noodles with the sesame garlic sauce and serve immediately.

How to serve

We love a simple garnish of fresh chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Chopped peanuts or siracha would be other yummy additions you could try!

Sesame Garlic Ramen Noodles

Ingredients 

  • 4 blocks ramen noodles, 12 oz total, flavor packets discarded
  • 6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ¼ cup plus 1 tablespoon soy sauce

for serving

  • sliced green onions
  • sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Cook the ramen noodles according to package directions, and discard the seasoning packets
  • In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil. Add the minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes. Stir in the brown sugar and soy sauce. 
  • Toss the sauce with the cooked ramen noodles and serve immediately
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds
