Honey Butter Skillet Corn

Cook Time: 13 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes

This creamy sweet honey butter skillet corn is the best easy side dish!

Ingredients

  • 24 oz frozen sweet corn
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 ½ tablespoons honey
  • 4 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

      1. Melt butter and honey in a large skillet
      2. Add the frozen sweet corn and stir over medium heat for 6 - 8 minutes
      3. Add the cream cheese and cook an additional 4 - 5 minutes, stirring often, until melted and creamy
      4. Salt and pepper to taste and stir right before serving

Notes

The corn will get creamier and thicker the longer it sits, so if it is a little liquid-y, let it sit a few minutes and stir right before serving.

I have made this recipe twice now. Used fresh super sweet corn I cut off the cob and milk I scraped out the second time. Used less butter and less honey because well corn is already super sweet. I also only used 2 tablespoons of cream cheese. Wow I recommend going fresh.

@Roberta, I wouldn't think so because of the dairy in the recipe.
