Craving bakery style muffins? Make these easy double chocolate muffins with a box of cake mix!

These cake mix muffins are delicious!

Cake mix is one of my favorite simple tricks for making baked goods for my family and friends when I’m short on time. I have made everything from cookies to breads, bars, and even brownies using a box of cake mix.

I made these chocolate chip cake mix muffins and that’s when I knew I needed to try a double chocolate fudge version next! These double chocolate cake mix muffins are fudge and rich and taste like a decadent muffin that you would buy from a bakery. The best part? It only takes a few pantry ingredients and you can have these in the oven in minutes!

Cake Mix Muffins Ingredients

chocolate chips: we used semi-sweet, but you can use dark chocolate chips or white chocolate chips
eggs
butter
milk

How to make double chocolate cake mix muffins

Step 1: Whisk together the eggs, milk, and melted butter.

Step 2: Stir the chocolate fudge cake mix in using a rubber spatula

Step 3: Fold in the chocolate chips.

Step 4: Line a muffin tin with parchment paper liners or spray the tins with cooking spray.

Step 5: Distribute the batter into the muffin tins.

Step 6: Bake the muffins at 350 degrees for 20-23 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
