You only need 3 ingredients to make easy cake box cookies! Mix ins are optional, but this is the basic recipe that you need.

  • cake mix: any flavor of a regular sized box of cake mix
  • eggs: you need two eggs to make these easy cookies
  • oil or melted butter: you can substitute vegetable oil, olive oil, or melted butter in the same amount

How to make cake batter cookies

  1. Mix: Mix together the eggs, cake mix, and oil until combined. Add in your mix ins of choice
  2. Scoop: Use a mini cookie scoop or spoon to drop cake mix batter onto a baking sheet. Roll the batter with your hands to form the dough into circles.
  3. Bake: Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes

Cake Mix Cookies

Cake mix cookies make the best easy dessert! Customize this simple cookie recipe with any flavor of cake mix and your favorite mix-ins.

Ingredients 

  • 15.25 oz box of cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup oil or melted butter

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Add the cake mix, eggs, and oil or butter to a mixing bowl. Mix to combine
  • Fold in your mix-ins of choice (chocolate chips, nuts, m&m's, etc)
  • Use a mini cookie scoop to place the batter onto a baking sheet. You can use parchment paper for easier cleanup, or a nonstick baking sheet
  • Bake the cake mix cookies at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Be careful not to brown or overbake the cookies
  • Remove cookies onto a wire cooling rack to cool completely
  • Store leftover cookies in an airtight bag or container at room temperature for up to 3 days
